Mitchum Motorsports Rides Momentum to Brickyard
jjomalley
Mitchum Motorsports heads into the Brickyard Sports Car Challenge at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in their #10 BMW 128i with the knowledge of a strong run at the circuit in 2013, as well as a great deal of momentum after strong results at the latest round of the 2014 racing season at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
Mitchum team owner Chris Mitchum knows his team and drivers are capable of taking their program to another level, and for him there is no time like the present. “Both Dillon Machavern and Dylan Murcott have shown this season that they have the pace to run at the front of the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge field in the Street Tuner class.” Mitchum expands; “I am excited to be returning to Indy with a very strong driver lineup. With Dillon's speed in qualifying and Dylan's experience running the race last year we should have a very good shot at a top five.”
The drivers are hungry to keep moving towards the pointy end of the grid as explained by Dillon Machavern; “This will be my first time at Indy. Hopefully it won’t be too much of a disadvantage due to the changes made to the layout since last season, should be fairly even playing field.
“The Mitchum team had a strong Top-10 showing at last years’ event, and I’m hoping we can do the same or better this time around.”
