IndyCar rethinks Toronto start order
IndyCar has reversed its decision to base the grid for the delayed opening race of this weekend's double-header in Toronto upon original qualifying positions.
The cars will now line up based on their order in the pitlane at the point that Saturday's track activity was canceled. The change means that Ryan Briscoe, who tagged the tires on an installation lap, Juan Pablo Montoya, whose car had an electrical problem addressed during the stoppage, and Will Power, whose car needed extensive repairs after an installation lap crash, will all line up at the rear of the field.
Power would have otherwise started second, with Briscoe and Montoya 10th and 11th.

, the series' president of operations and competition, who said that all three drivers would be restored to their original starting positions on the basis that there was no green flag, and therefore the race never technically started.The grid for Sunday's second race will be based on the entrant points as they stand after Race 1.
