OAK Racing Morgan/Nissan Wins In Canada

Subtitle:Yacaman, Pla Earn First Career TUDOR Championship Victories

Gustavo Yacaman and Olivier Pla co-drove the No. 42 OAK Racing Morgan/Nissan to a dominating victory Sunday at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

Pla crossed the finish line 7.886 seconds ahead of Richard Westbrook in the No. 90 Spirit of Daytona Racing Corvette DP.It was the third consecutive top-two result for Westbrook and co-driver Michael Valiante after winning at Watkins Glen last month and taking second at Detroit. Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia took their fourth consecutive GT Le Mans class victory in the No. 3 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R ahead of Jonathan Bomarito and Canadian driver Kuno Wittmer in the No. 93 Dodge Viper GTS-R. Marc Goossens and Dominik Farnbacher took third in class in the No. 91 Viper.The battle for the GT Daytona class came down to the closing minutes. Jeroen Bleekemolen took advantage of traffic and drove his No. 33 Dodge Viper SRT GT3-R past Kevin Estre’s No. 73 Porsche 911 GT America on the second-to-last lap. Bleekemolen’s co-driver in the victory was car owner Ben Keating.
