"Mr Bean" helps rescue driver from wrecked McLaren supercar

British actor Rowan Atkinson, best known for his portrayal of the "Mr. Bean" character on TV and in movies, is an avid car guy and counts the legendary McLaren F1 supercar among his private collection. While taking part in a convoy of McLaren F1s through the Italian countryside last week, however, he was forced into a real-life drama.

Atkinson was among the first on the scene to help extricate one of his fellow convoy drivers, said to be a "wealthy American," who has lost control of his F1 and crashed it heavily into a tree. The driver was evacuated to a nearby hospital but reportedly suffered no serious injuries. The million-dollar McLaren F1, however, appears to have been destroyed...
