F1: McLaren denies Button injury reports

The McLaren Formula 1 team has dismissed reports that Jenson Button's participation in the Spanish Grand Prix could be in doubt because of a leg injury.
Speculation about Button's fitness surfaced at the weekend when he elected to pull out of a Canary Islands triathlon that he was competing in. That prompted speculation that he had suffered a leg injury, and that he may even be a doubt for next week's Spanish GP.
In response, a McLaren spokesman made it clear that Button is fully fit and that his preparations for the Barcelona race are going on as normal.
"Jenson decided not to complete the Canary Islands triathlon, but he is fit and well and has, contrary to a few rogue media reports, no injuries of any kind," said the spokesman. "Indeed, he is driving in our simulator today and is looking forward to participating in the forthcoming Spanish Grand Prix."
