Belgian star Coox eyes World RX
Double Belgian rallycross champion Jochen Coox will race at the AUTOSPORT World RX of Great Britain in May with a view to adding further World Rallycross Championship events.
Coox could expand his programme if things go well at the Lydden Hill event next month.
"We will race at Lydden to measure ourselves against the top World RX drivers and try to make the final," said Coox.
"But, with more than 30 of the best Supercars in the world at Lydden, that's going to be hell of a job."
Volkswagen Scirocco racer Coox wants to assess his performance against competitors contesting the European Rallycross Championship, which runs over five rounds of the world series, starting at Lydden.
"We will see where we are against drivers like Lukas Walfridson, Tommy Rustad, Tord Linnerud and Jerome Grosset-Janin," said Coox.
"For us, as a small team with a small budget, the European championship within World RX is a really golden formula."
Coox finished second at the opening round of the British Rallycross Championship last month, held at Lydden.
