Fog delays first USGP practice

First practice for the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of The Americas has been delayed because of fog.

Formula 1 teams were greeted on Friday morning by a blanket of fog over the Austin track which was bad enough for the circuit's medical helicopter not to be able to take off. With the fog showing no signs of lifting, the FIA elected to delay first practice to see whether or not the weather conditions will improve.

The FIA will only allow the session to go ahead when visibility has lifted enough for the medical helicopter to be able to move if it is needed.
