Hamilton to attend DTM finale

Mercedes Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton will attend next weekend's DTM season finale at Hockenheim with the manufacturer. The 2008 world champion will drive Mercedes' DTM "taxi" during the Sunday break in action at the German circuit.

"I'm really looking forward to attending the DTM finale at Hockenheim and making a return to the DTM paddock," said Hamilton, who raced in the DTM-supporting F3 Euro Series in 2004-'05 and won it in the latter season.

"The DTM is a highly professional racing series that pulls in unbelievably enthusiastic crowds, which makes it the perfect environment for young drivers to take the first steps in their career. I have very fond memories of my time in the DTM environment and am curious to see how many faces I will recognize in the Hockenheim paddock."
