Felipe Massa remains under investigation for an alleged breach of the rules in first practice when he appeared to ignore a red light at the end of the pitlane.
The Brazilian was preparing for a practice start at the end of the first session when he stopped beyond the white pitlane line just after the red light came on to indicate the session had finished.
Massa said over the radio: “The light was red so I braked and I stopped after the line, so I don’t know if it’s OK or not.”
Massa and a representative of Ferrari were summoned to see the stewards immediately after the session to explain what happened, and investigations are still ongoing.
A statement issued by the stewards on Friday afternoon said that a decision on the matter would now be made only after further data had been made available to them.
It said the hearing had been delayed “pending the receipt by the stewards of additional technical information from FOM.”
