Bartone Bros. Racing expands IMSA program for 2027 with full slate of Endurance Cup events

Bartone Bros. Racing and leading Mercedes-AMG customer team GetSpeed Performance will expand its IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship program in 2027, running all five rounds of the Michelin Endurance Cup with the No. 69 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO.

This comes off the heels of competing in the Rolex 24 At Daytona in 2025 and 2026; the team finished an impressive fifth in GTD Pro in its first-ever IMSA appearance.

Second-generation driver Anthony Bartone, the son of NHRA champion Tony Bartone, will share driving duties with Mercedes-AMG Performance Driver Fabian Schiller, with further driver announcements to come later.

"It's no secret that competing in the IMSA Endurance Cup has been a lifelong dream of mine,” said Bartone. "Being able to come back to the US with the experience I've gained all over the world with GetSpeed Performance is a true privilege. Being alongside my longtime teammate and friend, Fabian, makes it all the sweeter.

“I cannot wait to experience all of the legendary events and venues of the endurance calendar, such as the Daytona 24 Hours, Sebring 12 Hours and Petit Le Mans. Thank you to everyone who has played any part in my racing career; it has meant the world to me. I would not be here today without the support of my father, Tony Bartone, and the mentoring of Andy Pilgrim.”

GetSpeed and Bartone Bros. Racing have also competed together in the Asian Le Mans Series, GT World Challenge Europe, Michelin Le Mans Cup, and International GT Open series since 2023.

“I’m very proud to be part of this project with Anthony, GetSpeed, and Tony Bartone,” said Schiller, winner of this year’s 24 Hours of Nürburgring. “We’ve raced together in different championships, and the trust we’ve built is real. IMSA’s endurance races are among the most competitive in the world, and the GT class is incredibly deep. We’re ready for that challenge.”

GetSpeed Team Principal, Adam Osieka, added: “Anthony and Fabian have been part of our family for several seasons now, and this IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup program is a natural progression,” said Osieka. “Our previous outings at Daytona showed what this partnership is capable of. Now we have the opportunity to compete for an Endurance Cup championship together, and everyone at GetSpeed is fully committed to that goal.”

Bartone Bros. Racing with GetSpeed becomes the second Mercedes-AMG customer team to commit to the 2027 IMSA season, following two-time and reigning GTD champions Winward Racing with the No. 57 car of Russell Ward and Philip Ellis.
