Milwaukee IndyCar Race 1 postponed again to 6pm ET
Overnight rain and thunderstorms have undone the IndyCar Series’ plans to resume Saturday’s Snap-On Race 1 at the Milwaukee Mile at 8am local time this morning. Rain is expected to continue for a brief period before finishing for the day.
As a result, officials have moved the resumption of the race, which went red after 90 of 250 laps with Arrow McLaren’s Pato O’Ward in the lead, to 6pm ET Sunday night. It will be aired on FOX Sports 1.
Race 2 will go forward as planned at 1pm at the full distance of 250 laps on FOX, which should conclude somewhere around 3pm and give teams and drivers a three-hour window to prepare themselves and their cars for the conclusion of the event.
Provided the track is dry, the Indy NXT race is set to start at 11am.
