Bristol has moved its race date back to August since there are no longer eliminations in the postseason, which Bristol has served as in the first round the last few years. New Hampshire is moving back to September and says it will be the third race of the Chase.
Iowa Speedway, meanwhile, also announced it will undergo a full repave before its 2027 events. NASCAR will also make improvements to the fan concourse, suites, and club areas.
"From the moment NASCAR returned to Iowa Speedway, fans have embraced this event in an incredible way with three consecutive NASCAR Cup Series sellouts," said Iowa Speedway President Eric Peterson. "Moving to Fourth of July weekend and competing on a brand-new racing surface is an exciting next chapter for our fans, our partners and the entire state of Iowa."
NASCAR has not unveiled its full 2027 schedule as it works to finalize a few events, in particular whether there will be a return to San Diego and the Chicago street course.
There are also a few dates that haven’t been announced, but that we can expect to fall onto the calendar in traditional spots. Charlotte Motor Speedway has not announced its race dates, but the Coca-Cola 600 traditionally falls on Memorial Day Weekend. In 2027, that would make the race date Sunday, May 30. In that same vein, the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway, traditionally held on Labor Day Weekend, would fall on Sunday, September 5.
Watkins Glen has not announced its race date; however, the track previously said it would return to the Chase next season. The race will be held in September and could be one of the first few Chase races.
And lately, it is expected that Homestead-Miami Speedway will remain the championship host for 2027. The race date is to be announced, but should fall around the second weekend of November.
