Vasser Sullivan preparing backup car for qualifying
With less than an hour until qualifying for the Motul SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix at Road America, Vasser Sullivan Racing is preparing a backup car for the No. 14 GTD Pro team of Ben Barnicoat and Jack Hawksworth.
During Practice 2, Hawksworth spun the No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 at the exit of Turn 6, pitching him right-side first into the concrete barrier and inflicting what the team has called “significant chassis damage.”

The crew immediately began preparing its backup car and working to try and have it on track for GTD Pro qualifying this afternoon.
Hawksworth and Barnicoat came into this weekend’s race on a two-race winning streak, taking class honors in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen, and the Chevrolet Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
