da Costa puts Jaguar on top in second Berlin E-Prix practice
Jaguar TCS Racing rebounded from a low-key showing in first practice for the Berlin E-Prix by topping the second with Antonio Felix da Costa.
The Portuguese driver's best time of 57.37s came with 12 minutes remaining of the 40 minute session and was 0.087s quicker than Citroen’s Jean-Eric Vergne with Andretti's Felipe Drugovich in third despite struggling with balance issues.
The two DS Penskes were next up, FP1 pacesetter Taylor Barnard in fourth and Maximilian Guenther in fifth, ahead of Mahindra's Edoardo Mortara and Jake Dennis in the second Andretti.
Dan Ticktum was eighth for Cupra Kiro with Nissan's Norman Nato and Nyck de Vries in the second Mahindra rounding out the top-10.
Nico Mueller was 11th once again for Porsche ahead of Citroen's Nick Cassidy, who had a late fast lap compromised by a slow-moving da Costa. Sebastien Buemi was 13th for Envision Racing having set the early pace as the first 350kW laps were laid down. Championship leader Pascal Wehrlein was 14th for Porsche and had a brush with the wall at Turn 2 late on.
Mitch Evans once again finished down the order in the second Jaguar, ending the session 15th, ahead of Lucas di Grassi and Pepe Marti in the second Kiro.
Envision’s Joel Eriksson, Zane Maloney – who along with his Lola teammate and reigning champion Oliver Rowland competed the runners, the Nissan driver unable to improve with a late push. Along with Maloney he didn’t complete a lap on 350kW and four-wheel-drive.

Rather fitting for a man that says he likes “seeing cars do what they’re not supposed to do”, previously worked for a car stunt show, and once even rolled a rally car with Travis Pastrana. He was also comprehensively beaten in a kart race by Sebastien Loeb once, but who hasn’t been?
