Reddick finalizes extension with 23XI

Tyler Reddick and 23XI Racing have finalized a contract extension to keep the NASCAR Cup Series championship leader in the fold for years to come.

Reddick announced the deal during the Fox Sports pre-race show on Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway. He did so before beginning the afternoon on the pole, with new sponsor Rockstar Energy, after his fifth and most recent series win at Kansas Speedway a week ago.

“We got the deal done,” Reddick said. “I’m going to be continuing my future here at 23XI; excited to have that all done and be able to continue building on what we’ve done. So, I’m just really glad that myself and 23XI were able to get to a good place and get the deal done. So I’ll be here for hopefully a long time.”

The season started with Reddick and the No. 45 team winning their first Daytona 500. Reddick then followed it up with victories at EchoPark Speedway and Circuit of the Americas to become the first driver in history to win the first three races of the season. The fourth victory came at Darlington Raceway. With the win last weekend, Reddick has won five of the first nine races.

Reddick has led the championship points standings all season.

The 30-year-old California native has driven for 23XI Racing since 2023. Initially signed for the 2024 season to join the Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan-owned team, Reddick moved into the fold a year early by taking over the seat from Kurt Busch, who was forced to retire following a concussion.

Reddick and his team have won 10 races together. In 2024, Reddick won the regular-season championship over Kyle Larson by one point and advanced to the championship race for the first time. He finished a career-best fourth in the championship hunt.
