RLL welcomes Liquid Death to IndyCar with Schumacher

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing will welcome non-alcoholic beverage company Liquid Death as the primary sponsor of Mick Schumacher’s No. 47 Honda for this weekend’s Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.

It’s the second consecutive company RLL has introduced to IndyCar with Schumacher’s entry, and follows ENVE Composites, which took the primary sponsor position for the first four races of the season and moves to an associate sponsor role for visit to Southern California.

“Liquid Death is an amazing brand on an incredible growth trajectory,” RLL president Jay Frye said of the Long Beach-based company. “We could not be more proud to introduce them to the IndyCar world this weekend at Long Beach on our No. 47 entry for Mick Schumacher.”

The Swiss-born German is seeking a change of fortunes on his first appearance at the storied street circuit. Schumacher’s brightest moment as a rookie was produced at Phoenix Raceway where he qualified fourth and was trending towards a quality finish before an equipment failure during a pit stop left the No. 47 Honda in 18th at the checkered flag. To date, the 18th stands as the 27-year-old’s best finish, which has Schumacher holding 25th in the Drivers’ championship entering Long Beach.
