IndyCar on FOX ratings flatten out for Barber

Alex Palou’s latest win at Barber Motorsports Park on Sunday was met with the IndyCar Series’ smallest average viewership audience on FOX this season, as 906,000 people tuned in to watch the Chip Ganassi Racing driver take his third victory at the Alabama road course since 2021.

The Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix closed a run of four IndyCar races in five weekends, and was the first of the year to deliver less than 1 million viewers.

Despite the modest dip below last year’s Barber audience of 914,000 viewers, IndyCar on FOX has generated a season-to-date average of 1,228,000 people tuning in, which is more than 30 percent up from 2025 and continues to rate as the strongest start to a season since 2009.
