AO Racing’s ‘Roxy’ returns for Sebring
AO Racing has made a change for this weekend’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, bringing back Rexy’s sister, Roxy, for her IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup debut. Thus, the pink “Roxy” livery will be worn by the No. 77 Porsche 911 GT3 R driven by Nick Tandy, Harry King and Alessio Picariello.
The change comes after “Rexy” lost his smile from damage sustained in the Rolex 24 At Daytona for the second year in a row. Rexy raced last year with braces fitted, and won GTD Pro last year – the first of three straight victories in 2025. But after this year’s recurrence of his dental injuries, he will sit out Sebring.
“Roxy” appeared twice in IMSA last year, taking her first win in last year’s Monterey SportsCar Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. She also raced at the Detroit Sports Car Classic, finishing fifth.
“All of us at AO are excited for Roxy to make her Endurance racing debut at the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring,” said team principal Gunnar Jeannette. “She’s got big shoes to fill after Rexy’s win last year, but we feel she’s ready for the challenge! We are looking forward to seeing all the fans come out to give her support at our Autograph Extravaganza!”
Picariello returns from last year’s winning driver line-up, winning in 2025 alongside Laurin Heinrich and Klaus Bachler. Tandy was last year’s overall and GTP class winner for Porsche Penske Motorsport, while King makes his Twelve Hours of Sebring debut.
Roxy will race alongside “Spike the Dragon,” the No. 99 AO Racing ORECA 07-Gibson LMP2 driven by PJ Hyett, Dane Cameron and Jonny Edgar. Spike has gone back to his usual purple livery, but will now wear a diamond “25” in his gold tail to commemorate his championships in IMSA and the European Le Mans Series – reminiscent of the diamond “24” tooth worn by Rexy for his 2024 IMSA GTD Pro title success.
