Rolex 24 official results still pending, but winning cars pass inspection
IMSA has announced that while the results of the 64th Rolex 24 At Daytona are still provisional, the winning cars in all four classes have passed technical inspection.
“IMSA's at-track technical inspection was completed Monday afternoon and the winning cars from all four classes were determined to be in compliance,” a statement from the series read. “As part of ongoing due diligence, results will remain provisional until additional inspections are completed, a process that could last up to two weeks. Notification will be provided once official results have been confirmed.”
The series impounded the top four finishers in each class for technical inspection after the race on Sunday, a standard practice for IMSA and many other sports car racing championships.
Porsche Penske Motorsport’s third straight Rolex 24 GTP and overall victory is confirmed, as are the results for class winners Paul Miller Racing (GTD Pro), CrowdStrike Racing by APR (LMP2), and Winward Racing (GTD).
