BMW M Motorsport unveils new Team WRT livery

BMW M Motorsport has shown what its redesigned M Hybrid V8 prototype will look like with a full racing livery for the first time today.

Both BMW M Team WRT cars will sport what the German manufacturer calls its “Inception Design,” a livery which was worn by the team’s No. 15 car in the FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar category in 2025.

“For the 2026 season, the car also debuts a new livery based on the Inception Design, now applied across all BMW M Motorsport LMDh cars — uniting the entire BMW M race car family under one consistent look and feel,” BMW wrote on its social media accounts.

Like last season, the two cars will be distinguished by red and blue windscreen banners – red on the No. 25 car, and blue on the No. 24.

Daytona will mark the worldwide debut of the 2026 BMW M Hybrid V8’s latest update package, distinguished by aerodynamic balance improvements, and aesthetic changes including a smaller kidney grille and redesigned headlights. It will also mark the debut of WRT’s full-time North American operation as it takes over from Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing as BMW’s GTP service provider.
