Rowe returning to Indy NXT next year with Abel
Myles Rowe will return with Abel Motorsports for next season's Indy NXT championship in the No. 99 Force Indy entry.
The 2023 USF Pro 2000 champion spent his rookie Indy NXT season with HMD Motorsports in 2024 and placed 11th in the drivers’ rankings before transitioning to the team owned by Bill Abel and run by John Brunner during the offseason.
“We're really pleased with what Abel has been able to provide,” Force Indy director Rod Reid told RACER. “The performance and communication between Myles and his engineer is good, so we're going to stay with Abel.
With Abel, the Georgia native has made positive strides during his sophomore NXT run, taking five podiums and a win at Iowa Speedway. Rowe sits fourth in the championship, which was clinched by Andretti Global’s Dennis Hauger last weekend in Milwaukee, and with one more race to run in a few days at Nashville Speedway, Rowe could climb as high as third in the standings with a strong oval result.
“Myles has been on the podium five times this year; a third of the time he's been on the podium and he’s shown that he knows how to win,” Reid added. “I think it's going to be good for Myles to get into the second year with Abel.”
