Want to win a piece of Petty-approved Hemi history?
Few street engines have a legacy to match that of the NASCAR-bred Hemi, which first rolled off the Chrysler production line in street form in 1965. But in the 60 years since, there’s never been a Hemi quite like this one – and it can be yours.
The Dream Giveaway Garage and seven-time NASCAR champion Richard Petty have joined forces to produce a one-off, supercharged, 885-horsepower Dodge Charger Helicat.
Built by Petty’s Garage – in fact, the very last car that will roll out of the famed high performance speed shop – the Hemi-powered Hellcat is loaded with premium parts. Starting under the hood, the Hemi V8 is equipped with a MOPAR Direct Connection Stage 2 Performance kit.
All that power is delivered to the road via JRI shocks and Fiske F-18 wheels wearing Continental ExtremeContact performance tires. There’s a Magnaflow cat-back dual exhaust, and if the music coming from the engine isn’t enough, the car is fitted with an Alpine premium sound system. American Car Craft has created a custom trim in the cabin and engine bay, complimented by a Petty-themed custom leather interior by Katzkin with embroidered headrests.
Anderson Composites created the carbon fiber Demon hood, spoiler, splitter and rear diffuser, while custom lighting from Lighting Trendz helps complete the look. The custom exterior graphics and brake calipers are finished in Petty Blue, and as a final stamp of approval, the ‘Outlawed’ Helicat is autographed by ‘The King’ himself.
Behind the amazing car are amazing causes. The Dream Giveaway Garage has partnered with a variety of charities over the last 17 years, and donations raised through this giveaway will go directly to New Beginning Children’s Homes – a non-profit with a mission to provide a safe living environment for abused and neglected children and youth aged 5-25, with grants also being provided to several children’s and veteran’s charities.
