Podcast: Will Brown ahead of his second NASCAR Cup Series start

Will Brown makes his second NASCAR Cup Series start Sunday after making the field for the third annual street course event in Chicago.

Brown, the reigning Australian Supercars champion, had never seen the course except in a simulator before Saturday’s practice and qualifying. Simulators are not common for Supercars preparation, but Brown has been all-in getting ready and taking in some NASCAR tailgating as well.

He sat down on The Racing Writer’s Podcast ahead of Sunday’s race to discuss his prep work, his visit to the race last weekend in Atlanta, what he anticipates from the Chicago circuit and being the driver who took Shane van Gisbergen’s seat in Supercars, plus the incredible story of how that deal came together.
