RACER and RACER Network take the 2025 Pikes Peak Hill Climb to new heights
RACER will be taking The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, presented by Gran Turismo, to new heights when the 103rd Running of the “Race to the Clouds” airs in its entirety on the RACER Network and RACER+ streaming app, Sunday, June 22.
Eight hours of live coverage on the RACER Network, plus post-race highlight episodes, will deliver the most complete and immersive Pikes Peak International Hill Climb coverage ever.
Adding even more depth and entry points to RACER’s coverage of an event that’s been part of the North American motorsports landscape since 1916, RACER.com and its burgeoning social media platforms will be providing race-week updates, behind-the-scenes insight, and historic content on the heroes and trailblazers who helped build the legend of Pikes Peak.
Look out, too, for a series of pre-race RACER Podcasts featuring in-depth conversations with reigning King of the Mountain Romain Dumas, 1985 winner and 2025 Pikes Peak Hill Climb Hall of Fame inductee Michѐle Mouton, and Loni Unser (below), a fourth-generation racer representing the Pikes Peak Hill Climb’s most famous and successful family.

“For me, Pikes Peak is something unmissable,” said Dumas, who’ll be at the wheel of Ford’s all-electric Super Mustang Mach-E (top) in a highly-competitive Pikes Peak Open division. He’ll be pushing for a sixth overall win on a 12.42-mile course that starts at 9,390ft, ends at the 14,115ft summit of “America’s Mountain,” and takes in 150-plus turns as the racers climb past heart-stopping sheer drops and spectacular views of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.
“Each section is different, from the lower section that feels like a race track, to the super-fast sweeps before the finish” he added. “You’re not only trying to beat your competition, you’re trying to beat the mountain, too. It’s an incredible place.”
Live race day coverage on the RACER Network begins at 9:00am ET on Sunday, June 22, and continues until 5:00pm ET.
Tune in to see the Exhibition and Pikes Peak GT4 Trophy by Yokohama division contenders ascend the mountain, before the top-three qualifiers from the Time Attack, Open Wheel, Unlimited and Pikes Peak Open divisions are unleashed. The action continues with the remaining cars from all divisions ascending in slowest to fastest qualifying order. With more than 70 entries for this year’s “Race to the Clouds,” get set for drama and excitement from first car to last.
“Pikes Peak is an incredible highlight of the North American motorsports calendar,” said RACER Network president CJ Olivares. “Thanks to our amazing team at RACER Network and RACER+, who are working closely with the Pikes Peak organizers to put on the most spectacular and dynamic live production possible, the 103rd Running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is set to be must-see viewing.”
“We’re excited to significantly increase our coverage across RACER.com, our social media platforms, and RACER Podcasts, too,” added RACER editor-in-chief Laurence Foster, “including build-up and original content through the whole of race week. It’s a very special event, and we know that the RACER and RACER Network audience will feel fully immersed in it.”

ABOUT THE PIKES PEAK INTERNATIONAL HILL CLIMB
First staged in 1916, the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is the second oldest race in America. The invitation-only event, often referred to as The Race to the Clouds is held annually near the end of June on Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain, near Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. The famous 12.42-mile (20 km) course consists of 156 turns, boasts an elevation gain of 4,725 feet (1,440 m), and reaches a finish line at 14,115 feet (4,302 m) above sea level. The PPIHC’s six race divisions feature a wide variety of vehicles – from production-based Time Attack challengers to purpose-built Open Wheel racers and state-of-the-art Unlimited vehicles. The current race record was set in 2018 by Romain Dumas and Volkswagen in the all-electric I.D. R Pikes Peak – 07m57.148s.
