Date confirmed for 2026 St. Petersburg GP

The next running of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg will fall on the same end-of-February timeframe as this year’s race.

Ratified by the St. Petersburg City Council on Thursday, the start to the 2026 IndyCar season is slated for Feb. 27-March 1 and is followed by the inaugural IndyCar Grand Prix of Arlington across March 13-15 in Texas.

“The 2025 event was another tremendous success with record crowds across the three days,” said St. Petersburg co-promoter Kim Green. “After consulting with the City of St. Petersburg staff and multiple stakeholders, IndyCar and our Green Savoree Racing Promotions teams agree continuing this great downtown tradition on similar dates is optimal. We look forward to planning for and hosting the Grand Prix on the same weekend in 2026.”

More of the early schedule has been filled in with the 51st running of the Grand Prix Long Beach set for April 17-19.
