Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame launches ‘Live with Legends’ series
The Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame (ORMHOF) has announced an innovative expansion of its role within the racing community with the introduction of its new online “Live with Legends” events.
Created for motorsports audiences of all kinds, these specially curated long form educational sessions are free of charge and will incorporate Hall of Fame Inductees and other key top racing figureheads to peel back the layers of a wide variety of topics.
The first episode in the new ORMHOF “Live with Legends” series will take place on Wednesday, May 14 at 3:00pm ET. Entitled "The Winning Mindset," the kick-off mentoring session will turn the spotlight on desert off-road champion motorcycle rider Johnny Campbell, short-course innovator and multiple time class champion Johnny Greaves, multi-discipline rock, desert and short-course winner Brad Lovell and the Toyota’s legendary off-road icon Ivan “Ironman” Stewart.”
The new “Live with Legends” series will be a live production hosted on Zoom. The 75-minute format will include stories, strategies, tips, and 15 minutes of Q&A.
“The mission of our new ‘Live with Legends’ campaign is to provide a platform for all to learn from the best in off-road while encouraging and inspiring the sport’s future,” shared ORMHOF Board of Directors Member Emily Miller. “Our hope is to bring a unique insight into motorsports that extends past the off-road racing community. We feel it also brings the legacy of ORMHOF and our incredible family of inductees to life in a very special and relatable way.”
The Winning Mindset will be followed by multiple topics including Building Successful Teams, Professional Opportunities and How to Get Started.
Established in 1978 by National Off-Road Racing Association co-founder and President Ed Pearlman, ORMHOF inducted the first 16-members which included Parnelli Jones, Steve McQueen and James Garner. Pearlman was unable to find a credible home for his Hall of Fame, but in 1995 racing legend Rod Hall acquired the remaining assets of NORRA and the ORMHOF. Hall brought it back to life in a formal way. Today a committee comprised of fifteen independent members of the off-road community and five members of the Off-Road Hall of Fame Board of Directors annually vote on new inductees nominated by members of the off-road community. Its annual induction takes place each year on the Sunday night preceding the massive SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
