‘Rexy’ stops by the dentist ahead of Sebring

AO Racing’s "Rexy" will have a new look for next week’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring after a much-needed trip to the dentist.

You’ll recall that in the final hour of the Rolex 24 At Daytona, Laurin Heinrich was battling for second place in GTD PRO when the No. 77 Porsche 911 "GT3 Rawr" hit the back of the GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Fabian Schiller, knocking Rexy’s teeth right out and – more importantly – taking AO Racing out of contention for the victory due to the damage.

“At the end of the race weekend, we sent him straight to the orthodontist, and now he has a beautiful new smile!” AO Racing wrote in a statement issued today.

“We also took him to our dinosaur DNA doctors, who gave him a thorough look-over and prescribed some Mobil 1 to keep everyone’s favorite T-Rex running strong!” As part of the treatment, Rexy will have additional Mobil 1 decals for Sebring, as Heinrich, Klaus Bachler, and Alessio Picariello look for their first win of the year.

The news of Rexy’s successful brace fitting also coincides with the launch of

AO Racing’s Fan Corner

where fans of Rexy, Spike, and Roxy can share their images of themselves supporting the team.
