NASCAR podcast: Doug Duchardt on building up Spire Motorsports
Doug Duchardt joined Spire Motorsports at the end of 2023 and it’s been full steam ahead since then. Duchardt sits down with The Racing Writer’s Podcast to discuss making the transition to an organization trying to works its way into a contender in NASCAR -- a position which Duchardt has experienced previously at Hendrick Motorsports and Chip Ganassi Racing. He also dishes on the team’s drivers, performance growth and how they will be making the No. 71 team a full-fledged Spire Motorsports effort when Michael McDowell becomes the driver next year. Kelly Crandall
Kelly has been on the NASCAR beat full-time since 2013, and joined RACER as chief NASCAR writer in 2017. Her work has also appeared in NASCAR.com, the NASCAR Illustrated magazine, and NBC Sports. A corporate communications graduate from Central Penn College, Crandall is a two-time George Cunningham Writer of the Year recipient from the National Motorsports Press Association.
