IndyCar closing in on second season of '100 Days to Indy'

The NTT IndyCar Series is nearing the confirmation of a second season for the ‘100 Days To Indy,’ the six-part docuseries that debuted in April on The CW and followed the championship from its pre-season testing through the 107th running of the Indianapolis 500.

“We will soon announce two things,” Penske Entertainment CEO Mark Miles told RACER. “One is the international distribution for Season 1, which is exciting. And two will be the arrangements for Season 2. So, I'm not saying that it is 100 percent done with the i's dotted and t's crossed, but we are quite confident that we'll be in good shape and would be excited about it continuing into Season 2.”

Combined, the six episodes generated 1,161,000 viewers during their premieres with an average of 193,500 views per debut episode. More views were earned via streaming and repurposing of the episodes on VICE TV.

Miles wouldn’t be drawn on whether the second season would remain on The CW, but did confirm the same production team would return to make the next installments of 100 Days.

“Same approach,” he said. “It will be familiar, and in it will include the same creative team putting it together. We're excited about that.”
