Lynn joins AWA's GTD lineup for the Rolex 24
Alex Lynn will join AWA Racing in its new No. 13 Corvette Z06 GT3.R for the Rolex 24 At Daytona. The British driver will be co-driving with Orey Fidani, Matt Bell, and Lars Kern in the GTD class.
Lynn, who won the 2022 Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring with Chip Ganassi Racing, made his most recent IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship appearance at the 2023 Rolex 24 in the third Cadillac Racing V-Series.R before the car and his teammates moved to the FIA World Endurance Championship, in which he will continue to compete in 2024. In addition to his Cadillac program, he was recently crowned the 2023 champion in the European Le Mans Series with Algarve Pro Racing in the LMP2 Class.
“I’m really excited to be joining AWA for the Rolex 24 At Daytona in the No. 13 car,” Lynns said. “It’s also very special to be driving the brand-new Corvette Z06 GT3.R on its world debut and on the biggest stage in North American endurance racing. AWA has proven their credentials and shown that they know what it takes to win this race and I’m excited to try and add to that. I’d also like to extend a big thank you to GM for letting me be a part of this new Corvette adventure.”
AWA will run two Z06 GT3.Rs in the WeatherTech Championship GTD class. AWA was the LMP3 winner in the 2023 Rolex 24 at Daytona.
