Alba Colon was a vital part of the success of Chevrolet teams during the 23 years she worked for General Motors before being hired by Hendrick Motorsports in 2018. One of the brightest and most well-respected individuals in the garage, Colon is now helping the four Hendrick Motorsports teams win races and championships. This week, she joins The Racing Writer’s Podcast to discuss what she does in her role and the tools used away from the racetrack, shifting her dream from wanting to be an astronaut and the engineer’s challenge of Next Gen.
Kelly Crandall
Kelly has been on the NASCAR beat full-time since 2013, and joined RACER as chief NASCAR writer in 2017. Her work has also appeared in NASCAR.com, the NASCAR Illustrated magazine, and NBC Sports. A corporate communications graduate from Central Penn College, Crandall is a two-time George Cunningham Writer of the Year recipient from the National Motorsports Press Association.
