Hilton Head Island Concours Calls Off 2020 Event

Hilton Head Island, SC -- A May 29 email from Hilton Head Island Concours President Lindsey Harrell and Chairman Merry Harlacher announced the decision to cancel this year’s event.

The pair said that its Board of Directors had contemplated numerous options for the Nov. 1 event, but that after careful consideration and consultations with its partners and leadership from Hilton Head Island and Savannah, it was decided they “cannot, prudently, host our event this fall.”

The concours -- the capstone of the Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival and Savannah Speed Week – will now shift its focus to planning events scheduled for Oct. 29-Nov. 7, 2021.

“While all of us will sorely miss seeing you in 2020, we are immediately shifting our focus to organizing an especially amazing event for the fall of 2021,” the announcement said. “We anticipate that many of the features planned for the 2020 event will stay on the schedule for 2021 and invite you to follow our social media channels to learn more in the coming months.”
