Rain postpones Cup race to Monday

The FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway has been postponed until 5 p.m. ET Monday.

Fox Sports 1 will carry the broadcast. MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will provide radio coverage.

Officials did not get to throw the green flag for the 14th race of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series on Sunday afternoon due to persistent rain. Earlier in the day NASCAR moved up the start time to 2 p.m. ET;, however, the start was delayed because of the weather. After drying the track and getting drivers lined up for what NASCAR hoped would be a 3:02 p.m. ET start, the rain returned.

Ford drivers Joey Logano and Aric Almirola will start from the front row. Defending race winner Clint Bowyer starts fifth. Point leader Kyle Busch will start 15th.

Thirty-six drivers will take the green flag.
