Father Glenn O’Connor, Catholic Chaplain for the IndyCar Ministry organization and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as well as serving as Pastor at St. Susanna School in Indianapolis, has died after a brief illness, the organization announced.

IndyCar Ministry, a 501(c)3 not-for-proft, non-demoninational organization, provides spiritual support and counseling to IndyCar Series and Road to Indy drivers, teams, officials and staff both on and off the track.

Archbishop Charles Thompson issued this statement on O’Connor’s passing to Indianapolis station RTV6:

“Fr. Glenn was a wonderful priest, beloved pastor and great member of the Indycar family. He will be greatly missed by St. Susanna Parish and the entire Archdiocese of Indianapolis. May he Rest In Peace, enjoying his eternal reward for a life and witness of discipleship well lived.”
