Nielsen to complete IMSA endurance rounds with Heinricher/MSR

After stepping in at the Rolex 24 Hours At Daytona, Christina Nielsen will return to the No. 57 Heinricher Racing with Meyer Shank Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo for the remaining IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup Rounds -- the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, Sahlen's Six Hours of Watkins Glen and Motul Petit Le Mans.

Two-time IMSA champion Nielsen adjusted to a new team quickly and proved to be an excellent addition in the 24 Hour. After the race, the team moved quickly to integrate her into its Endurance Cup plans.

“I am excited to be driving with the Heinricher Racing effort and Meyer Shank Racing for the rest of the Michelin Endurance Cup events,” said Nielsen. “I’ve always known MSR to be a very good team and racing for them only impressed me more with their professional approach to everything, so hopefully we can fight for the [Michelin Endurance] Cup this year.”

“Having Christina join us for the remainder of 2019 season is incredibly exciting,” said Jackie Heinricher. “She brings a long list of racing accomplishments, adding to the deep talent of professional drivers involved with this team and my vision.”

The next event on the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship calendar is the 12 Hours of Sebring on March 16, which will also be a part of the “Super Sebring” World Endurance Championship race weekend.
