Porsche's Manthey WEC partnership extended
Porsche Motorsport has announced that its successful partnership with Manthey Racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship has been extended for the next two seasons.
Manthey’s partnership with Porsche pre-dates the FIA WEC, the team notably scoring multiple Nurburgring 24 Hours wins as a Porsche team, before running as the factory Porsche outfit in the FIA WEC’s GTE Pro class in the 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018/19 seasons.
This season has been particularly successful for Manthey’s Porsche 911 RSR, the team winning the GTE Pro class at the Le Mans 24 Hours and at Fuji. As it stands, the No. 92 Porsche crew leads the class points standings, and Porsche leads the Manufacturers Championship title race after today’s WEC race at Shanghai.
