Joey Logano was fastest in the second NASCAR Cup Series practice at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The fastest lap for the No. 22 Ford was 169.609mph (31.838 sec).

Logano was one of the two playoff drivers in the top 10 on the speed charts. Aric Almirola was second fastest at 169.194mph. Polesitter Denny Hamlin was third at 168.492mph, and Ryan Newman was fourth quick at 167.999mph. Erik Jones rounded out the top five at 167.411mph.

Filling out the rest of the top 10 were Paul Menard (167.234mph), Chris Buescher (166.940mph), Daniel Suarez (166.723mph), Martin Truex Jr. (166.718mph), and Clint Bowyer (166.682mph).

There were no incidents or practice holds in the 50-minute session. Hamlin ran the most laps in the session (46).
