Ricky Stenhouse Jr. led a clean final practice for the NASCAR Cup Series at Texas Motor Speedway with a lap of 192.349 mph.
Kurt Busch followed Stenhouse at 192.075 mph. Fords again placed six drivers in the top 10 in final practice.
Completing the top five were Martin Truex Jr. at 191.884 mph, Paul Menard at 191.782 mph, and Ryan Blaney at 191.761 mph.
Erik Jones was sixth fastest at 191.632 mph. Defending race winner Kevin Harvick was seventh on the speed chart at 191.626 mph.
The spring winner at Texas, Kyle Busch, was eighth with a lap of 191.625 mph. Aric Almirola matched Busch’s time at 191.625 mph with Daniel Suarez rounding out the top 10 at 191.333 mph.
Playoff drivers Chase Elliott and Joey Logano were 17th and 18th, respectively. Elliott ran 190.402 mph while Logano clocked in at 190.235 mph.
The slowest playoff driver was Clint Bowyer at 22nd fastest. Bowyer ran a lap of 190.054 mph.
