The event – which was finally restarted after a lengthy delay – wound up averaging a 0.34 rating and 542,000 household viewers, down from a 0.40/618,000 last year, also on NBCSN.
NASCAR’s return to Bristol faced the opposite scheduling challenge, with the Monster Energy Cup Series race being moved forward an hour to beat expected bad weather. Saturday night’s race on NBCSN garnered a 1.39 rating and averaged 2.3m viewers. That’s down from a 2.25/3.8m last year, also on NBCSN.
The NHRA finals from Brainerd were live on Sunday afternoon on FS1, scoring a 0.23/343,000. That’s down from a 0.27/412,000 last year, also live on the same network.
The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing series averaged an impressive 0.37/532,000 viewers for its taped appearance Saturday afternoon on “CBS Sports Spectacular” on the CBS broadcast network.
