Roush Fenway confirms remainder of Kenseth's schedule
Roush Fenway Racing announced the remainder of Matt Kenseth’s schedule in the No. 6 Ford Wednesday afternoon.
The 2003 Cup champion returned to the organization last month at Kansas Speedway and ran the next five races, although the car goes back to primary driver Trevor Bayne next weekend at Sonoma Raceway.
Kenseth’s next stint behind the wheel will be at Kentucky Speedway next month. The July 14 event will be the first in a four-race stretch that includes New Hampshire, Pocono Raceway, and the road course of Watkins Glen International.
After that, Kenseth will drive the car at Darlington (Sept. 2), Indianapolis (Sept. 9), Dover (Oct. 7), Martinsville (Oct. 28), Phoenix (Nov. 11), and Homestead (Nov. 18).
Roush Fenway said that “additional races for Kenseth are still under consideration.”
Bayne is expected to be in the car for the AdvoCare-sponsored races.
