Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club, an hour west of the Las Vegas Strip, enjoys an established reputation among the top private driving clubs in the United States. On June 15th this year, the facility begins its 15th year, and the relentless pace of growth and expansion shows no sign of slowing down.

It already boasts 6.1 miles of racing surface from which more than 50 different configurations can be used. There is an 8000sq.ft club house with pool, gym and spa, plus a bar and dining room manned by a gourmet chef. There are condos, garages, a gun range and a paddle board lake.

But this is Las Vegas, where more is not only better; it’s expected. To that end, Spring Mountain is embarking on the next phase of development across an additional 620 acres.

Leading the expansion is the addition of another track that will allow for multiple configurations and over 200ft of elevation change. When Spring Mountain’s vision is realized, it will have an incredible 16.07 miles of track, become the longest road course in the world. A finalized layout is expected later in 2018.

North of the new track, a 6000ft combined runway and drag strip expands opportunities for aviation and automotive activities.

To accompany the new track and drag strip, Spring Mountain will add a new large paddock area, slated to begin construction in June 2018. The paddock will also host a karting track until a dedicated karting facility is completed as part of the expansion.

The new track serves as an anchor to the latest luxury residential development. The Spring Mountain Estates contains 80 residential and mixed-use parcels that will feature trackside homes. Several homes have already broken ground.

Last, but not least, a casino resort development is moving ahead with its mixed use development on seven acres adjacent to Spring Mountain’s main entrance. A major hotel brand will debut a 150-room, all-suite hotel and casino, complete with 200 slots, five gaming tables, a sports book, cafe, restaurant and retail. The project breaks ground in the summer of 2018.

Las Vegas sets a high bar for entertainment and, following suit, Spring Mountain is setting a high bar for motorsports country clubs.

Spring Mountain is home to the Official High Performance Driving School of Corvette, Ron Fellows Performance Driving School featuring the Corvette and ZR1 Owner’s School. The Cadillac V-Performance Academy is also based there.

Open to all club members, the Club Spring Mountain Race Series offers categories for two types of racecars. The Light Sport Race (LSR), which is further subdivided into four classes, plus a Miata Division where any current Miata, Mazda MX5 or MX-5 Cup car is eligible.

All four of the LSR classes race together separate from the combined Miata classes. The LSR1 Class is an open-spec class, with the Wolf GB08SM Turbo being the most typical. LSR2 and 3 feature different Radical Sportscars and the LSRR class is restricted to series rookies.
