Charlotte Motor Speedway officials reported there had been no damage done to its facility after a strong storm passed through the area Tuesday afternoon.

A tornado may have passed over @CLTMotorSpdwy around 5:40p, where damage has been reported. Watch the sign spin around.

The ninth annual NGK Spark Plug NHRA Four-Wide Nationals takes place this weekend at zMAX Dragway just across the street from the speedway.
