Charlotte Motor Speedway officials reported there had been no damage done to its facility after a strong storm passed through the area Tuesday afternoon.

The ninth annual NGK Spark Plug NHRA Four-Wide Nationals takes place this weekend at zMAX Dragway just across the street from the speedway.
NASCAR then comes to town for two weeks of action that begins with the Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race on May 19.
