IMSA looking to build on Daytona lessons

Fledgling Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge team Racing team presented by ROWE Motor Oil is looking to build upon the lessons learned in its IMSA debut at Daytona when it heads to Sebring next week.

The team opened its 2018 campaign by qualifying and finishing fourth with the No.10 Audi RS3 LMS shared by Kieron O’Rourke and Lee Carpentier, and team manager and strategist Matt Moran said that he was encouraged by the potential he saw.

“Considering the new challenges presented to us at Daytona I feel like we handled everything pretty well,” he said.

“To come out of the first race of the season with the car in good shape and the drivers happy with the progress meant a lot for our team confidence.

“Our drivers were competitive and fast which was the main goal, the next step is heading to Sebring and making it to the finish. The nature of Sebring International Raceway could make the two-hour race just as hard on the car as a four-hour race elsewhere, so finishing without trouble would be a meaningful step towards the podium.”

Follow the Sebring 120 on on Friday, March 16 at 2:35 p.m. or watch the replay on Fox Sports 1 Sunday, March 25th at 10:30 a.m. ET.

The team owes its successful start to the support of and ROWE Motor Oil. It would also like to acknowledge the support from Audi Sport and Audi Genuine Parts, and the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge.
