Nemechek to make Xfinity Series debut at Atlanta

John Hunter Nemechek will make his Xfinity Series debut this weekend in Atlanta.

It was announced in December that Nemechek would drive multiple Xfinity races in 2018 for Chip Ganassi Racing, sharing the No.42 Chevrolet with Kyle Larson and working with crew chief Mike Shiplett.

Nemechek, who finished third in the Trucks season opener at Daytona, has competed in the Truck Series for his family-owned NEMCO Motorsports since 2013, earning five wins and the Most Popular Driver Award in 2015. He finished eighth in points the last two seasons after making the playoffs.
