FOX Sports’ coverage of this weekend’s Rolex 24 At Daytona, season opener for IMSA’s WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, will feature a new lead host in Brian Till, a tribute to the retiring Scott Pruett, and a feature by Sam Posey on the late Dan Gurney.

Till and FOX veteran Greg Creamer will also have Calvin Fish and Tommy Kendall in the booth to call the 24-hour endurance event, along with Justin Bell, Jamie Howe, Jamie Little (pictured) and Matt Yocum on pit lane.

NASCAR champion, reigning Rolex 24 winner, and FOX broadcaster Jeff Gordon will also make a cameo prior to the race to interview United Autosports’ Fernando Alonso as the two-time Formula 1 world champion makes his Daytona debut.

“It’s not just that Dan won the first sports car race at Daytona in 1962, or that one of his AAR Toyotas set the Daytona road course lap record that stands to this day,” said Frank Wilson, FOX Sports VP of Production. “There is so much more to Dan Gurney than a resume of racing accomplishments. That’s why we’ve asked Sam to offer a personal perspective on who Dan was, and why Dan Gurney will forever be an icon of American motorsport.”
