Roberto Gonzalez and Nick Boulle will complete AFS/PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports’ 2018 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship line-up, joining Sebastian Saavedra and Gustavo Yacaman for all rounds of the North American Endurance Cup. Boulle will round out the Rolex 24 line-up.

Boulle, who earned a Rolex 24 Prototype Challenge class win in 2017 with Performance Tech Motorsports, also finished second in the PC category in 2016. Gonzalez briefly raced in open wheel in 2003 and 2004 and brings experience from the World Endurance Championship in LMP2.

The Rolex 24 marks the beginning of a venture between AFS Racing owner Gary Peterson, PR1 co-owner Bobby Oergel and Ray Mathiasen, as well as the first WeatherTech SportsCar Championship partnership between long-time IndyCar pairing Peterson and Saavedra. Peterson is investing his full efforts in IMSA, but also plans to keep his eyes open for future IndyCar opportunities.
