Racer Media & Marketing, Inc. is pleased to welcome Hector Scarano as the new Vice President of Business Development. Scarano, who joined the team in mid-October, will guide RACER‘s business development strategy across all of the company’s platforms including RACER.com. RACER and SportsCar magazines and our in-house agency, RACER Studio.
“We’re very happy that Hector has joined our team,” said company founder and president, Paul Pfanner. “In the ever-changing landscape of media business and sales, his experience and established network is a great asset as we continue to evolve our business platforms, particularly on the digital and native content side.”
Scarano will lead the business development team that continues to include John Chambers in London and Nicole Szawlowski and Raelyn Stokes in Irvine. He will also collaborate closely with RACER editor-in-chief Laurence Foster and RACER Studio creative director George Tamayo on native content initiatives. Scarano will continue to work from Indianapolis until the spring of 2018 before making the move to RACER‘s head office in Irvine, California.
“This move represents an exciting new chapter for me,” Scarano says. “RACER has often been dubbed the collateral piece for motorsports in North America, and that’s owed to the tremendous editorial and creative talent within the company. The opportunity to grow all facets of the business, especially in the digital sector, is something I’m really looking forward to.”
Prior to joining RACER, Scarano held sales, marketing and business development roles with Andretti Autosport and Bryan Herta Autosport.
