
Kanaan expected to drive for Foyt in 2018
Tony Kanaan always said he thought it would be cool to drive for A.J. Foyt, and it looks like that's going to become a reality in 2018.
RACER has learned Kanaan is expected to sign this week to wheel the No. 14 ABC Supply Chevy next year, although it's not confirmed by the four-time Indy 500 king or Larry Foyt.

"We've been talking to Tony for a few months and he's one of the guys we are definitely interested in," team president Larry Foyt said. "We have been talking to several drivers and haven't signed anyone yet."
A.J. said recently he liked the 2013 Indianapolis 500 winner because he was "aggressive and always runs good at Indianapolis. I think he can still win races."
Kanaan owns 17 victories in his 20-year career and also captured the 2004 IndyCar championship.
The 42-year-old Brazilian had serious conversations with Foyt's team last year but wound up going with Chip Ganassi for a third season, which has been one filled with frustration.
Conor Daly and Carlos Munoz joined Foyt's team this year and struggled until recently, when Daly finished a strong fifth at Gateway and Munoz ran in the top 10 in the last three races.
