Engines revved for Lime Rock Park Historic Festival 35

Starring on the participant marquee will be Richard Attwood, Ray Mallock and Duncan Rabagliati in a Holman Ford GT40, 1960 Mallock U2 Mk2 and 1959 Alexis, respectively. Among the other cars taking the paces on the 1.5-mile track are bevies of Formula Juniors and Tin Tops as well as Lolas, Ginettas, MGs, Triumphs, Maseratis, Datsuns, Volvos, Fords, Spitfires, Jaguars, Alfa Romeos and Turners.

Nine racing groups have attracted nearly 275 historic cars and entrants from around the globe – many Lime Rock Park veterans and some first-timers. Spectators will dot the hillsides, spreading their blankets and chairs to capture prime views of the track while enjoying camaraderie and picnic lunches.

This year's August 31-September 4 Lime Rock Park Historic Festival 35 presented by the Prestige Family of Fine Cars celebration will begin with the traditional Vintage Race and Sports Car Parade on August 31. The September 3 Sunday in the Park Concours d'Elegance will showcase approximately 200 rare and unique cars from the Brass Era to modern as well as motorcycles, and the Gathering of the Marques will line the track with 1,000 cars grouped by make, country of origin or enthusiast club.
