Sebastian Landy (Great Falls, Va.) is headed to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin for the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge races at Road America, Aug. 3-6.

The series is coming off of a tough weekend at Watkins Glen where the second race was stopped due to a large crash in the esses. Road America is a driver favorite and Landy is excited to get back to racing after more than a month off.

"One of the things that stands out to me about Road America is the sheer speed of the place," Landy said. "In terms of the commitment required by the driver in order to get the best lap, there aren't many places in North America that make you muster up as coordinated and confident a lap as you need in order to be successful there. So much of Road America is about speed, whether that's rolling minimum speed through the Carousel and the Kink or maximizing your exit onto both of the critical straightaways. It's important to have a car that can enable you to make the most of those sections to try and have the best race car possible.

Landy has had success at the track known as America's National Park of Speed.

"I've raced at Road America a few times, most recently in last year's Porsche GT3 Cup Gold Championship where I was able to win both of the races that weekend, so my recent memories of Elkhart Lake are pretty favorable!"

"Sebastian has a great record at Road America winning both races in the Gold category last year," Alex Job, team owner said. "The top five drivers in the series are very fast. Sebastian is right there on lap time and this weekend we are looking to get him up on the podium."

The IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama series heads to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin Aug. 3 - 6 for the Continental Road Race Showcase at Road America.
